This session will provide an introduction to medically assisted treatment (MAT) interventions including methadone, suboxone, and vivitrol. It will discuss the goals of MAT and how MAT can work with the therapeutic process. This session will also review the pros and cons of each treatment approach and identify which populations these are most effective in treating.

This session will also educate on the 12-step process as a recovery tool and option. This session will identify and review the steps and principles and ways these can be integrated into treatment programs. This session will provide education on setting and maintaining boundaries in various treatment settings. It will discuss how setting and maintaining boundaries can be used as a treatment approach and review how and when to set boundaries. This session will also identify common struggles with boundaries in these settings and discuss techniques for preventing and addressing these issues.
